As our students continue to complete their reading goals for the school year, I would like to invite you to discuss with them what they are reading. Take some time and talk to them about their books and what they are about. Many students are discovering new genres and new authors and are very excited about what they are doing. Parents talk with your students, students talk with your peers and teachers. Let's keep this wonderful enthusiasm going.

Mission Statement for AIS West Media Center
The mission statement for AIS West Media Center is to assist students in the development of the skills necessary for independent life-long learning. Emphasis is placed on the appreciation and enjoyment of literature and the motivation of reading for pleasure as well as for learning information skills. The media center staff provide access to materials in a variety of formats and works with educators to incorporate computers, technology and video production into their curricula.
